
For Thanks but I’ve got my own, the base material of toilet paper is transformed into a desirable artistic object that parallels how, during the height of covid, the value of toilet paper skyrocketed as humans began to hunt for and hoard it.
Through humor and abstraction, these works question how we assign value and beauty, while also giving the viewer a distance from the overwhelming reality of mass death and quarantine, in order to engage in a discussion about our reactions to this era.
